What is up developer humans! We at Auth0 are extremely excited to let you know that we are going to be hosting our first Hackathon, and it’s gonna be a doozie! We’ve got 6 superb partners, $10,000 worth of prizes, and the best developers in the world (you) hacking with us to solve some very real issues. Head over to devpost today to guarantee your spot in the hackathon, and watch this space for more announcements in the future. For now here are the basics.<br>

## Categories

The hackathon will be broken down into three categories. Each category will have a grand prize, runner up, third, fourth, and fifth place team winners. The categories are:

* **Addressing after effects:** solutions that address the after effects of COVID-19
* **Security:** solutions that create secure connections
* **Connectivity:** help to keep remote friends/co-workers/family connected

## Prizes

We are excited to offer the following categories of prizes for the Auth0 Hackathon:

* Grand prize winners (one in each category)
    * $2000 USD<br><br>
* Runner up winners (one in each category) 
    * $1000 USD<br><br>
* Third place winners (one in each category) 
    * $50 USD gift card per individual<br><br>
* Fourth place winners (one in each category) 
    * $25 USD gift card per individual<br><br>
* Fifth place winners (one in each category) 
    * $25 USD gift card per individual<br><br>


## Join Our Event Slack!

Create or join a team of at least two members and you can use this slack to communicate. If you don’t have a team or are a team looking for more individuals, go to the **#available** slack channel page and drop a line.
