IT Support Engineer - APAC

You will be the first Auth0 IT representative in APAC, but will work closely with the rest of the Auth0 IT team in the US, UK, and Buenos Aires. In addition to supporting our office in Sydney, you will support employees in our Singapore and Tokyo offices, and our employees that work remotely throughout APAC.

This is an exciting time to join Auth0 as we are growing quickly and there are plenty of opportunities to learn and implement new technologies. Auth0 is merging with Okta, and IT plays a key role in the continued success of our combined company. There is a lot to do, and there will be a lot of change in the coming months - but change is the name of the game!

In This Role you Will:

  • Provide excellent customer service and a timely response and resolution to IT requests as the primary Auth0 IT representative in APAC
  • Collaborate with Okta IT in Sydney on shared initiatives and ongoing merger efforts
  • Fulfill employee access requests and implement account management best practices for employees around the world
  • Troubleshooting all kinds of applications, systems, and services
  • Develop creative solutions to unexpected problems, working with different teams throughout Auth0 and Okta
  • Manage our fleet of Mac workstations and personal mobile devices remotely
  • Maintain network equipment and solving network-related issues
  • Administer a wide variety of external cloud services

Is this role for you?

  • At least a good knowledge of Mac operating systems and Apple products such as MacBooks, iPhones & iPads
  • At least 3-4 years experience in an IT support type of role
  • You have a passion for providing an amazing support experience and a quick solution
  • You are a problem-solver and are not intimidated by uncertainty - you will be thinking on your feet and researching problems on the fly
  • You have some experience programming in a scripting language such as bash, JavaScript, or Python
  • You are highly organised and self-motivated
  • You have excellent English speaking and writing skills

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience working with a remote workforce and in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience with Slack, Zoom, Google G Suite, Jamf Pro (previously known as Casper), Amazon Web Services, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, and other applicable cloud services
  • Understanding of secure networking best practices

Required Job Location:

  • We are a remote friendly company but when we return to our corporate offices the ability to work at least two days or more in our Sydney office will be required
