Senior Data Engineer

The Data Engineer will help build, scale and maintain the entire data pipeline for the Auth0 Customer First Technical Solutions and Enablement organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical understanding of and hands-on experience in designing data pipelines, ETL, dimensional modeling, columnar databases and data visualization. The candidate should feed on challenges and love to be hands on with recent technologies.

What You'll Do:

• Develop, and operate highly scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that enables rich security, eventing, and analytics use cases
• Design and Build data models for optimal storage and retrieval and to meet critical product and business requirements.
• Apply software engineering principles to create reliable, automated data solutions to solve critical business needs
• Perform all of the necessary data transformations to populate the data lake, data warehouse, and data marts.
• Coach and mentor engineers to help scale up the engineering organization
• Participate in team’s support rotation to build operational excellence on services we provide

What You'll Need:

• 4+ years of of software development experience in a fast-paced, agile environment
• A deep understanding of SQL and data pipelines
• Proficiency in DBT, Airflow, and cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift
• Familiarity with modern programming languages such as Python, Go, and JavaScript
• Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and container technologies such as Kubernetes, ECS, and Docker
• Experience in Looker or similar BI tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  
  Additional Skills:
• Experience with Machine Learning including historical data analysis to identify anomalies, future prediction modeling, natural language processing and named entity recognition.
