Startup Stories: SafeBase

How SafeBase Uses Auth0 to Lead the Way in Customer Trust

Leading the Way in Customer Trust

The security startup, SafeBase, is defining the standard for customer trust management. Through the SafeBase Smart Trust Center, companies are able to share their security posture and eliminate security review friction, ultimately leading to more closed deals. “Implementing good security controls as you’re a growing company is very hard, and it’s always under-invested,” said SafeBase’s Co-Founder & CTO, Adar Arnon.

We sat down with Adar, and he shared that their approach was aimed at helping companies grow. Their goal is to eliminate human time spent on security communications like sharing SOC2 or Pentest reports, security questionnaires, or incident breach notifications. While these are crucial to maintaining customer trust, they can be time-consuming and a bottleneck to closing deals. Arnon explains that these processes can be “...super manual, and that’s what we decided is worth solving.”

As we’re growing with these customers, something that’s very clear is that big customers really care about identity management and security.

The impact SafeBase has had on their customers since their 2020 inception is truly exciting. They’ve taken historically frustrating and tedious security processes and created a product that allows companies to become more efficient, ensuring stakeholders have fewer security review emails in their inboxes. That’s a total win in our book.

Choosing Auth0, a Standard in Authentication and Authorization

Once SafeBase started adding users, they determined that it didn’t make sense to implement their own user management system. Upon asking his network, Adar shared, “...it sounded like Auth0 was the agreed-upon standard. Auth0 offered a platform that we felt could grow with us while providing good support.” Other factors that were evaluated were Auth0’s tech stack and documentation.

One of the key features the team benefits from is Universal Login, specifically because they do not have to deal with maintaining the front-end or back-end. The SafeBase team determined Auth0 was a good solution and joined our startup program to help them scale.
