Dashboard Roles Feature PreviewBeta
If you have an Auth0 enterprise subscription in the public cloud, you can try out our new feature that allows tenant administrators to provide team members with limited privileges in the Auth0 Dashboard for improved access control.
With this feature preview (beta) release, more people on your team will be able to access the Auth0 Dashboard to fulfill their jobs without putting production applications and sensitive information at risk.
After you enable the feature preview, you can invite colleagues with one or more of the following new roles:
|Admin||Read and write access to all resources in the Auth0 Dashboard|
|Editor Specific Apps||Read and write access to specific applications only.|
|Editor Users||User management operations (such as block, unblock, reset MFA, reset password, update metadata, assign roles, etc.) and access to logs.|
|Viewer Users||Read-only access to users and logs.|
|Viewer Config||Read-only access to all configuration settings (applications, APIs, rules, security settings, etc.) except for sensitive information such as secrets, billing, users, and logs.|
Opt-in to feature preview
Log in to Auth0.
Under Feature Previews, enable New Dashboard Roles.
If you currently have Application Admins, those users will be changed to the new Editor Specific Apps role as part of the opt-in process.
The new Editor Specific Apps role is similar but more restrictive because it provides write access to the selected apps but no access to users or connections. If greater access is required, you can also give that user one of the viewer roles. See Dashboard Access by Role (Beta) for details on what parts of the Auth0 Dashboard each role can access.
As with many Auth0 enhancements, this improvement was inspired by customer feedback. If you have suggestions on how we can improve the feature and help shape the final details, please provide feedback.
Opt-out of feature preview
You can disable the feature preview at any time during the beta period. Before you opt-out, however, you need to make sure that your tenant members are not assigned to new roles. Before you opt-out, do one of the following with your tenant member roles:
Change all the tenant members' roles to the Admin or Editor Specific Apps roles. These will map to current roles.
Remove any tenant members with new roles and add them again after you opt-out.
