TL DR; The UK joins our available public cloud regions across EMEA to help with compliance requirements, data residency, and performance for our subscribers based in the UK.
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our newest region across our Customer Identity Cloud (Powered by Auth0) service in the UK. This new offering will provide a high-performance and secure way to manage customer identities while helping subscribers comply with UK data privacy regulations. As our first public cloud region on our converged platform architecture, this brings the latest cloud-native design and employs cutting-edge tools and fully automated operations to enhance business agility, developer productivity, scalability, reliability, and security for both our subscribers and platform teams. We encourage you to check out our blog series here to learn more about our converged platform, and if you want to double-click even further on architecture, check out this blog here by my colleague, Leonardo Zanivan.
This public cloud region is also a major milestone in supporting UK customers with data residency needs. UK-based data centers will enable subscribers to store their data within the UK, helping ensure compliance with UK regulations for those that need it. This is particularly important for businesses that operate in heavily regulated industries, such as finance or healthcare, where data residency requirements can often be strict. To choose their preferred location, subscribers can easily select from a menu when creating their new tenant where the UK is now available.
In today's constantly connected environment, where numerous users - from staff to customers - need access to mobile applications, websites, APIs, and portals from any location and device, we are proud to provide our subscribers with an IDaaS solution that delivers the essential scalability, reliability, and accessibility organizations require. Our goal has always been to simplify identity management for developers and IT professionals worldwide.
With the new launch, users in and around the UK can experience reduced latency while logging in and solve many challenges faced with data privacy regulations. Don't hesitate to contact us for any questions or help regarding the newly launched UK Region. We are always here to help!
