I am incredibly excited to announce Auth0’s Vercel Native Integration, a platform-level, co-built partnership that integrates enterprise-grade authentication directly into your Vercel workspace, in just a few clicks.

Historically, adding production-ready identity and access management has caused friction in that workflow. Developers are forced to jump between dashboards, manually copying and pasting client IDs, secrets, and callback URLs.

How Auth0’s Vercel Native Integration Works

This integration bridges Vercel and Auth0 at the platform level. It is bidirectional, fully managed, and built to remove the cognitive load of auth configuration.

When you install the integration through the Vercel Marketplace, Auth0 does the heavy lifting behind the scenes:

1. Auto-provisioning a new, dedicated Auth0 tenant.
2. Creating the client application automatically.
3. Auto-populating the necessary localhost, callback, and logout URLs.
4. Pushing the credentials into the specific Vercel environments (Development, Preview, or Production) you select during install.

You can install it once, and manage it seamlessly from either dashboard.

Getting Started in Under Five Minutes

Prerequisites

• A Vercel account with an active project or you can use our Next.js template.
• Administrator access to an Auth0 tenant.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

1. Prepare Your Project: Open your target project in your Vercel dashboard, or deploy our Auth0-ready SaaStart template.
2. Install the Integration: Navigate to the Auth0 page within the Vercel Marketplace and click Install. Confirm the auto-populated localhost and callback URLs, choose an Installation Plan, and click Continue.
3. Authorize Your App: Sign into Auth0 via the secure pop-up window, accept the permissions, name your application, and click Create.
4. Link and Deploy: Pick your Vercel project, choose which environments (Development, Preview, Production) should receive the synced credentials, and click Connect. Auth0 provisions the new tenant, creates the client application, and injects the necessary settings into the Vercel environments you selected.
5. From here, drop in the Auth0 SDK for your framework and begin protecting routes.
