In the recently published Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Customer Identity and Access Management, Okta has been named a Leader. To us, this recognition reflects something we see every day with our customers: identity isn't just infrastructure anymore – it's a growth multiplier.

Why Identity Is a Growth Opportunity, Not Just a Security Requirement

Every business today is under pressure to grow and compete as AI reshapes how customers discover, buy, and engage. Customers expect to move seamlessly across apps, channels, and AI-powered experiences. If a product can't deliver quickly, companies risk losing conversion, delaying deals, and increasing churn. At the same time, the risk surface is expanding with every new channel and AI interaction, and the cost of keeping up compounds with every new app, customer, integration, and agent organizations add.

We built Auth0 to solve exactly this tension: helping teams drive revenue through better experiences, reduce risk to revenue and brand, and move at the pace of AI – without rebuilding identity for every new product, customer, or use case.

Why Auth0 Stands Out

Developer extensibility and time to value. Auth0 provides native serverless Actions, Forms, and Flows, along with APIs, SDKs, quickstarts, a large integration marketplace, and deployment tooling. This lets teams integrate identity with their application, marketing, security, and data systems without heavy reliance on professional services–while giving product teams tools like Experiment Center to test and optimize authentication journeys based on real customer behavior.

Converting demand into customers. Capabilities like Universal Login, Embedded Login, Passwordless, and Social Login (with 75+ out-of-the-box social connections) reduce friction at the exact moments that determine whether intent becomes a registration, purchase, or repeat visit. Anonymous Sessions preserve pre-login context–browsing behavior, preferences, cart activity–and connect it to the customer once they authenticate, so the journey never feels like it's starting from zero.

Protecting every interaction. As fraud, unauthorized access, and automated attacks grow more sophisticated, Auth0's Bot Detection & Attack Protection, Adaptive MFA, and Credential Guard identify and stop credential stuffing, brute force, and account takeover attempts before they reach the database–while keeping friction low for legitimate customers.

Agentic identity, built for what's next. As AI agents become part of everyday customer experiences, we've built capabilities to help secure them: Agent as Principal, Auth for MCP, Auth for UCP, and Cross App Access (early access), alongside Token Vault and human-in-the-loop authorization, which are generally available today. These let businesses give an AI agent its own governed identity, bind agents to the customers who grant them access, better secure downstream credentials, and audit agent activity–extending trusted identity, consent, and authorization into AI-powered discovery, checkout, and Agentic Commerce experiences. We also believe we were the first identity provider to support the personal agent protocol for agent delegation.

Winning and scaling enterprise and partner relationships. For B2B and SaaS companies, our Tenancy-as-a-Service architecture supports tenant isolation, self-service customer activation, delegated administration, and organization-level configuration. B2B Connect layers partner federation and provisioning on top of an existing authorization server, so organizations can extend their current CIAM setup without a full identity-platform migration–helping teams win and grow enterprise accounts while protecting tenants and brand.

Fine-grained authorization and scale. We also support fine-grained, relationship-based authorization and operate at large scale with regional and dedicated private-cloud options to help meet data-residency requirements.

Flexible packaging as you grow. We know cost predictability matters as usage scales. Recent packaging and pricing updates as well as a more modular product lineup are designed to let organizations tailor licensing to their actual needs rather than overcommitting upfront. We believe B2B Connect lowers switching barriers by enabling enterprise readiness without replacing existing identity infrastructure, while our self-service tiers provide a scalable, cost-effective on-ramp for teams getting started.

Identity as a Growth Multiplier

We don't think of Auth0 as just an identity platform, we think of it as the foundation that lets businesses turn identity into growth, control, and speed. It's what lets consumer brands personalize frictionless interactions to drive acquisition, loyalty, and lifetime value, and what lets B2B companies unlock enterprise deals and extend their products across customers and agents with the right controls in place. We believe this Gartner recognition reflects that vision, and our continued work to help teams convert demand, protect every interaction, and move at the pace of AI.
